Rethinking Health After 40
We can be fit and not healthy
For years, I believed health was primarily about fitness, nutrition, recovery and performance. They still matter but experience has taught me that being physically fit doesn't necessarily mean we're truly healthy.
We can exercise regularly, eat well and achieve success, yet still feel anxious, disconnected, unfulfilled or stuck.
I now believe true health is wholeness this is the integration of our physical, mental, emotional, social, environmental and spiritual wellbeing.
When one part of us is neglected or disconnected, the whole system is affected.
Many of us carry old wounds, limiting beliefs, unresolved experiences, stress and patterns that quietly shape how we think, feel and live. Growth comes when we're willing to face them rather than avoid them.
By developing physical strength, emotional resilience, self-awareness, healthy relationships and a deeper sense of purpose, we become better equipped to navigate life's inevitable challenges.
I believe those challenges aren't simply obstacles to overcome, they can be opportunities for growth, transformation and becoming more of who we're capable of being.
With preparation, reflection, faith, trust and a willingness to evolve, we can emerge stronger, wiser and more aligned with who we are meant to become.
Why Unleash Your Inner Athlete Exists
My mission is to challenge the way we think about health, ageing and human potential helping people in midlife build the strength, resilience and self-understanding to thrive in every area of life, not simply to avoid illness, but to become whole.
Because your best years aren't necessarily behind you. They may be the years in which you become more fully who you're capable of being.

This is Unleash Your Inner Athlete
Not a coaching programme and not another fitness plan.
A different way of thinking about health, performance and life after 40.

Host of Unleash Your Inner Athlete, Health, Performance & Human Potential
For more than 26 years, I've worked at the intersection of health, performance and human potential, helping elite athletes, high-performing executives and public figures perform at their best and recover when their bodies and minds demanded more.
My career has taken me from the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and professional football and rugby to working with board-level executives and award-winning performers, including recipients of Oscars, Golden Globes, Emmys, BAFTAs and BRIT Awards.
I've worked with executives from organisations including UBS, Société Générale, Mothercare, SAGA, VTB Capital and Goldman Sachs, developing approaches that look beyond symptoms and performance to understand the person as a whole.
Today, my focus has evolved.
Through Unleash Your Inner Athlete, my podcast, writing and speaking, I share what I've learned about health, performance, resilience and human potential and challenge the idea that getting older means accepting less because being an athlete isn't about competing. It's about how you meet life.

Ideas to help you rethink health after 40.
I write about the things that influence how we really experience midlife from physical health and movement to mindset, emotional resilience, relationships, purpose and spirituality.
